Privacy policy.
Short version: this site collects what you type into the contact form, uses it to reply to you, and does nothing else with it. The longer version is below.
This policy describes the site as it is currently built.
Who is responsible
Meher Tech Solutions, of Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India, operates this website and is responsible for the personal data described here. The address is in the footer of every page.
For anything to do with your data, write to contact@mehertechsolutions.in. A person reads it.
What the contact form collects
When you submit the contact form we receive the name, email address, company name, category of work, budget band and message that you typed, along with the time of submission and the browser user-agent string sent by your device.
- We use it to read your enquiry and reply to it.
- We use it to understand what people are asking us for, in aggregate.
- We do not sell it, rent it, or share it for anybody else's marketing.
- We do not add you to a mailing list. There is no mailing list.
Please do not send health information
The contact form is not a secure channel for personal health information and must not be used for it. The form does not ask for it and the page says so. If we need to see real data during an engagement, we will set up an appropriate way to do that under a separate agreement.
If health information is sent to us by mistake, tell us and we will delete it.
Where it is stored
Contact form submissions are delivered to a spreadsheet held in Google Workspace, which acts as a processor for this purpose. Google stores that data on its own infrastructure, which may be outside India. Access to the spreadsheet is restricted to people at Meher Tech Solutions who need it to reply to enquiries.
The web server that receives the form keeps a short-lived record used only to limit how many submissions can be made from one connection in an hour. That record contains a one-way hash of the IP address, not the address itself, and is deleted automatically.
Cookies
This site sets no advertising cookies and no tracking cookies.
One cookie is set, and only when you open the contact page: a session cookie that carries a token proving the form was submitted from this site rather than from somewhere else pretending to be you. It contains no personal data and expires when you close your browser. Every other page on this site sets nothing at all.
Analytics
If analytics is switched on for this site it is a cookieless, privacy-respecting product that records page views without building a profile of you and without following you across other websites. Google Analytics is not used. Neither is any advertising pixel.
Server logs
The hosting provider keeps standard web server logs — the pages requested, the time, and the requesting IP address — for security and for diagnosing faults. Retention is set by the hosting provider.
How long we keep enquiries
Enquiries that lead to work are kept for as long as we are working together and afterwards as part of the business record, as required by Indian tax and company law.
Enquiries that do not lead to work are reviewed periodically and deleted when they no longer serve any purpose. If you want yours deleted sooner, ask.
Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask us for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it is being processed, ask us to correct or complete anything inaccurate, ask us to erase it where we no longer need it, and withdraw consent you previously gave. You may also nominate somebody to exercise these rights on your behalf if you are unable to.
Email contact@mehertechsolutions.in and say what you would like. We will not ask you to justify the request. If something has gone wrong, raise it with us first and we will try to put it right. The Act also sets out further routes if you remain dissatisfied after we have responded.
If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, equivalent rights under the UK GDPR and the GDPR are honoured in the same way.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. The form is validated on the server as well as in the browser, is protected against cross-site request forgery, and is rate limited. Access to submitted enquiries is restricted to the people who need it.
No system is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise. If you find a security problem with this site, please tell us at contact@mehertechsolutions.in and we will act on it.
Changes to this policy
If the site changes in a way that affects what is collected, this page changes with it. Material changes will be visible here rather than announced somewhere you would have to go looking.
